Public Expenditure Management and Financial Accountability (PEMFA) Programme
- Contract Period: 2005-2009
- NOK 70 million
- Overall objective: To contribute to the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) in improving capacity to effectively and efficiently mobilise and utilise public resources (improve public expenditure management) and to strengthen overall financial accountability, as stated in the PEMFA Component of GRZ's Strategy Document for Public Sector Reforms that was approved by the Cabinet of GRZ in June 2004.
Axle Load Control Programme
- Contract Period: 2004-2008
- NOK 30 million
- Goal: To contribute to 1) A sustainable road sector in Zambia, by a substantial reduction in damages caused by overloaded vehicles; 2) Reduced risk for traffic accidents caused by overloaded vehicles
- Objective: To establish a robust and efficient control system with capacity to protect all the core road network against illegal overloading
