Farm activities

A farm holiday is balm for the soul and gives you a feeling of getting back to basics. You can decide whether you want to just sit and listen to the crops growing, or get to know the farmers and their animals by participating in the daily life of the farm.

A farm holiday can be a lie-around-and-take-life-easy holiday or the starting point for exciting outings to neighbourhood attractions and activities.

A farm holiday is especially good for children, but is also wonderful for adults who want to rediscover the child in themselves and relive childhood memories of their own. If you are not intending to stay long, there are also a number of farms that are open for day visits, and they will gladly take you on a tour and tell you about the old farming methods and food traditions.
Norwegian farms vary from small mountain farms to large enterprises in the lowlands. Even the smallest farms will often take you as a guest if you ask. Some mountain farms even hold courses where you can try your hand at old-fashioned milking.
